Skills to be Learned

One of the skills that I feel unfamiliar with is skill A, which is to identify and explain rhetorical strategies in a variety of text. It may be that I'm just out of my mind at the moment, but the skill doesn't sound familiar to me and I would like to improve in it so that I can become a better writer. However, I may be good at it without even knowing it. I suppose I won't know until I first understant what it is.
Another skill that I would like to improve in is skill B, which is the ability to integrate your own idea to those with other by accurately quoting, summarizing, and paraphrasing. I want to improve in this because I feel as though I don't appropriately use quotes. I also feel like I am not very good at paraphrasing or summarizing the ideas of other people, which is a skill that is useful and necessary in writing.
A third skill that I'd like to improve in is skill E, which is essentially the use of electronic sources. When I first learned to write research papers, I was told to only use books. I'm probably not the best at determining the validation of electronic sources and definitely not good at finding good sources.
